These jewelled Key drawings are inspired by my childhood love of old Keys, and in particular my memories of playing with a jewelled Key brooch that mysteriously turned up in our house around the time of getting and falling in love with a toy Key that came with my Clarks Magic Steps shoes.
I wanted to re create that magical feeling of escapism and imagining anything is possible that I got from playing with this Key by incorporating real Gemstones (another love of mine) with my Key drawings.
These pieces can serve more than one purpose, whether it be an artwork to symbolise your own love and personal story of old Keys, compliment your home décor, a special piece of art with your birthstone or a stone that holds a special significance for you in some way, or a companion for meditation, in which the piece can contain a gemstone to suit the purpose for which you choose, and you can focus on during your quiet time as you relax and clear your mind during your meditation or self-care practice.

Description
Carnelian
Known to be a grounding, protective and stabilising stone that boosts confidence, self belief and motivation. It is said to help with overcoming abuse of any kind and dispel apathy. Carnelian is known promote joy, happiness, and empowerment, and to help you to trust yourself and your perceptions. It is said to promote both physical and emotional energy and effort, helping you overcome both internal and external negative emotions and feelings. It is also known to stimulate creativity, help sharpen concentration and is a useful aid for success in business.
Associated with the Sacral Chakra which symbolises creativity, sexuality, pleasure and emotions.
Print size is 4×6” and mounted to fit a 6×8” frame (the same size as the original drawing), and are high quality fine art Giclee prints on archival German Cotton paper (Hahnemule photo Rag)
Gemstone size : 6x8mm set in Silver. Please note that due to the natural variation and uniqueness of each gemstone, the colour will vary from the stone in the photo.
The nature of the design requires the artwork to be double mounted and framed in a box frame or a deeper set frame with spacers between the mounts so the gemstone does not touch the frames glass.

The prints come single mounted as standard, I can offer a basic framing option of black/white/natural wood frame, which will come ready to hang/stand (please specify your desired frame colour choice in the notes section when you checkout), but if you wish to frame the artwork in your own choice of frame to suit your decor, I recommend you take your artwork to your favourite local framer.
